Small animal epaxial injection model that can stand alone or be applied to stuffed animals to teach the clinical skill and allow deliberate practice.
As it is based on skeletal components, palpable landmarks are realistic. Foam “muscles” allow for realistic feel and negative pressure when drawing back on syringe (feedback), and felt embedded with silicone approximates skin and subcutaneous thickness and resistance.
The plastic base and skin are durable/reusable. The foam muscles eventually need to be replaced as they become saturated with continued use or dry out entirely (foam sets) when not in use.
The plastic base is created by using relevant components of a cat or dog skeleton and a form press. The plastic form is then used as the base for cosplay foam “muscles”. The size of this model is limited to the size of your form press and available skeletal components. This model can easily be mounted on or in a realistic stuffed animal model for added realism and to combine physical restraint activities.
